Reflection
This was the sixth project I worked on and the first game made using our own engine. In this project I was responsible for developing the enemies’ behavior, alongside Alvin Eriksson. We had three different enemy types (excluding the boss), that all had different attack types and behavior patterns, as well as different animations to be played. Additionally, we implemented various optimizations for the updating of the enemies to save performance.
Having already developed enemy behavior while working on the previous game, Circus Vindicta, I felt a lot more prepared going into this project. Working alongside a classmate was also very rewarding, as we could bounce ideas off each other. I also got to familiarize myself with using component systems during this project, which was very educational for me.
